Sheet Rock Excitement!

Today the sheet rock has started! This is so exciting! One that is done and it's textured, we can paint inside and put in the floor and then the cabinets and then...WOO! We are getting so close! John says once the garage is set up with shelving he can start bringing boxes of stuff when he goes to work each day, and just put it on the shelving. I am trying to get things cleaned out etc. so we can start packing and get that going! Yippee!!!

More of the kitchen in this view! The window is where the sink will be, and the left window is sliding glass doors. Our kitchen table (when we get one!) will be over there in that corner of the room!

We have Insulation!

Here are some pictures of the house with insulation! Yippee! It was funny going in the house today; it felt like I needed to pop my ears! No more echo! The sheet rock (and supplies) have been delivered this morning and will be worked on tomorrow!

Insulation!!!!!

Today the insulation started! John said it's a dusty, dirty, itchy mess, and didn't want Jacob, Justin or I to come down during the process, so he was my photographer this morning! They are hoping to be finished today. Tomorrow the sheet rock will arrive and Friday it will be put in! Yippee!!! I believe once this is done, we can paint and then the cabinets can be installed! But I may be jumping the gun....hee hee!

More Fun with Feet....

Jacob loves playing with his feet. He also loves playing with his rattles. I have the hardest time keeping socks on him because he pulls them off so he can get to those feet! As a gift we had received some socks that had animals on the toes that are filled with rattle goodies! So he got to play with is feet AND a rattle. It was a lot of fun to watch!

Pulling Wire......

Here are some pictures I took today of John "pulling wire" as he calls it! He is putting together the electrical boxes and putting the "plugs" in all the outlets. Or something like that....LOL. I walked in and the place is just swimming in wires. I can't even begin to imagine how he keeps all this stuff straight!!!!!!!

Today we went Green......

Today Jacob tried green beans for the first time, and I think they were a hit! He's also REALLY grabbing at things, such as the spoon etc. I can tell it's going to be a short while before I am trying to not only feed him, but keep one of his hands out of the food and the other from shoving his spoon up his nose!!!

A Trip to Gram-Gram and Granddad's House!

Saturday we went to the pumpkin patch. It sure was fun! John, Justin and Jacob did the corn maze while Mom and I pulled our little red wagons around to look for pumpkins!

Justin was 4 1/2 feet tall....I couldn't believe it! He is growing so darned fast!

Jacob is really starting to get curious about the cats and trying to pet them. Here is he with Granddad and "Poopie".

Jacob is starting to teethe so he loves to put anything and everything in his mouth to gnaw on. This is one of the cork/wine cork trivets that Gram-Gram makes! He was having a ball!

Here are the boys with Gram-Gram before we had to leave. Jacob loves to reach out and grab anything he can, and what he wanted was Gram-Gram!
